Just as the Chinese New Year Festival is ending with Chap Go Mei falling on the 9th February, which is a Monday, I am finally putting up some of my CNY photos. I was at S's open house with the usual LT12 bunch. We were told to stay on for the lion dance which we did. It was many years ago since I last saw one.
Something I learned from this lion dance is the act of arranging the oranges. In the second picture, the pomelo fruit as well as the mandarin oranges were all placed in the basket. In the third, the lion was, according to J, arranging the fruits. In the fourth and fifth picture, the fruits were arranged as the lion broke out of its sitting position to continue the dance.
