Bago (Pegu): Shwegugale Paya

A rather small temple as compared to Mahazedi Paya; extremely mouldy and old-looking but beautiful is the Shwegugale Paya. Unlike any temples I've been to, the stupa is a really a circular tunnel where 64 Buddha statues are kept. The temple has a red base followed by white middle section before tapering into the sky in gold.
